The Ficus natalensis tree belongs to the Moraceae family. With its origin in Uganda and Kenya, this small to medium size plant initially appears as an epiphyte on a tree branch. Afterward, it sends down aerial roots that supply extra nutrition to the plant once it reaches the ground. Growing from 10 to 30 m in height, this adorable fast-growing deciduous shrub enters into its dormancy in the winter months. Ficus natalensis bonsai is known by its common name “Natal fig”. These trees have glossy green-colored leaves, making them stand out!

Growth Rate
Ficus natalensis is an evergreen deciduous shrub with a fast growth rate.

Flowering
The spring season is when Natal fig blossoms. The flowers provide your garden or patio with a much-needed splash of color.

Watering
This lovely tropical fig tree requires minimal watering. Water just when the soil feels dry to the touch, and don't let your Ficus natalensis tree sit in water for long periods of time.

Soil
A Ficus tree thrives happily in a well-drained, all-purpose potting mix. Avoid arid or damp soils.

Hardiness
Natal ficus is hardy in zones 10a to 11. These types of dwarf trees cannot tolerate temperatures less than 30.2° F (-1° C).

Light
Place this houseplant in a sunny location. A Natal fig tree is sensitive to temperature fluctuations and can be damaged by extreme hot and cold temperatures.

Propagation
This interesting tree, which is known for its large system of aerial roots, can be easily grown by seeds or cuttings. Ficus natalensis seeds germinate within 15 to 90 days.

Natal fig bonsai has a variety of uses, including making ropes, barks, or cloths. It's also grown as a living fence occasionally. Find Ficus natalensis for sale on Planet Desert!

Good Watch for use in water.
Color: Black/ Green
Here's the deal. It's an excellent plastic watch. If you don't abuse it, it should last years. The advantage of metal bodies and crystal faces, is that they're lot more resistant to scratches compared to plastic, BUT they weigh a lot more than plastic watches. I love the size of this watch while at the same time, it surprisingly light on the wrist. Therefore it doesn't move all around like a heavy steel watch. I hardly know Im wearing this plastic watch. Also, I went snorkling offshore for a week with this watch, no leaks, no problems. It will stand up to water fine. So, if you don't abuse it, its a pleasure to wear, lightweight, waterproof, doesnt slip around, looks good. I imagine the battery should last 3-5 yrs like my last plastic quartz watch. For the price, its a very good watch.
