As the bassist for the famously flashy and dramatically demonic band KISS, Simmons' persona comes alive in this unique Gibson creation. The Gene Simmons G2 Thunderbird is designed to meet the needs of the modern bassist. A Reverse Thunderbird mahogany body is paired with a mahogany neck in a Rounded profile shape for easily handling and smooth travels across the bound ebony fingerboard. Slick and streamlined, the Thunderbird body delivers on both form and function.
The G2 Thunderbird is equipped with two T-Bird pickups for formidable tones to build monstrous grooves. Individual volume controls and a master tone control keep things simple to quickly dial in a beastly tone. A Graph Tech nut and Hipshot Mini Clover tuners ensure solid intonation in conjunction with a Hipshot Bass Bridge. The playing experience of this Thunderbird makes it easy to lay down thumping bass pulses to carry a show.
Visually, the stark Ebony nitrocellulose lacquer finish matches with pearloid reverse split diamond fret inlays. Black chrome hardware and a Mirror Plex pickguard with a laser-engraved custom Gene Simmons logo tops off this Thunderbird down its last detail. Every aspect of this Thunderbird is fashioned to match the iconic Simmons stage style.
