Broly was raised by his father to hate Vegeta but he is not an unfeeling berserker, when given the chance to meet new people he is friendly if quiet and quick to jump to a new friend's defence. As a fighter Broly is incredibly powerful holding off Vegeta and Goku together and completely overpowering Frieza. After Gogeta defeates Broly, Goku approaches him peacefully as a friend and offers to become his new sparring partner so that they can both continue to grow.
