Mesquite Block M2034 1.9" x 2" x 7.7" 0.8 lbs. This spindle of Texas Mesquite is all heartwood. The color is a beautiful deep reddish-brown with darker accents. The grain is roughly parallel to the long axis and is gently swirling. This block captures a tree crotch, where one branch splits away from the main trunk. There's even a bit of feather figure which will be beautiful once finished. This block has been fully air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. This block is discounted because it does have some cracks and open bug holes that require treatment prior to working with it. The cracks were living-tree cracks rather than cracks from drying, as the Mesquite tree was tossed around in Texas windstorms. As such, they're fairly stable but will need to be filled with CA glue or epoxy. We love pairing Mesquite with black epoxy for a beautiful, contrasting finish. About the Tree This Texas-grown Honey Mesquite tree was harvested in El Campo, Texas in July of 2022. It was cut down by the city for reasons unknown to us, and we were happy to help save the tree from a burn pile. It is possible that this tree was damaged by the Valentine's Day Freeze that Texas suffered in February 2021, which is when our state lost a lot of beautiful trees in an unusually deep and long freeze. |

Great price
I love Mann filters. Great for the price and great quality. I was surprised how cheap they were ( my car takes 2 filters and two come in the box). They fit like a glove and now I am enjoying fresh air

Can’t beat MANN quality
Bought to replace the filters on my 2015 bmw x5 as there was a musty smell from ac. Old filters were another junk company that fit very loosely. I was impressed by the quality and how secure the MANN filters locked into the housing; musty smell all gone now! Easy 10min replacement job, comes with VERY detailed instructions for the less mechanically inclined

Great product
Fits our 2012 X5d perfectly. Do yourself a favor and youtube the process for replacing these. You'll see it's well worth doing yourself rather than paying a shop that charges a BMW premium on everything.
Also something I learned recently... this is a low cost high charge item at the mechanic. A lot of times when they suggest replacing these it's because they just tick the box and don't actually look at them. We had our mechanic admit this on a recent service where it was suggested to replace, when we had just done it ourselves in April.
