A clear and urgent call for the national, social, and individual changes required to prevent catastrophic climate change.

"An iconoclast of the best kind, Stan Cox has an all-too-rare commitment to following arguments wherever they lead, however politically dangerous that turns out to be."--Naomi Klein, author of On Fire: The (Burning) Case for the New Green Deal

"Moving to zero net carbon emissions, and fast, is the point of Stan Cox's important new study, The Green New Deal and Beyond. Cox advocates on behalf of the GND as one step of several we need to take to stabilize the planet."--Noam Chomsky, from the book's foreword

The prospect of a Green New Deal is providing millions of people with a sense of hope, but scientists warn there is little time left to take the actions needed. We are at a critical point, and while the Green New Deal will be a step in the right direction, we need to do more--right now--to avoid catastrophe. In The Green New Deal and Beyond, author and plant scientist Stan Cox explains why we must abolish the use of fossil fuels as soon as possible, and how it can be done. He addresses a host of glaring issues not mentioned in the GND and guides us through visionary, achievable ideas for working toward a solution to the deepening crisis. It's up to each of us, Cox writes, to play key roles in catalyzing the necessary transformation.

"A strictly science-based plan for effectively addressing the dire realities of climate change. . . . Convincing, painful, and a long shot--but better than the alternative."--Kirkus Reviews

"His is a warning well worth heeding."--Raj Patel, co-author of A History of the World in Seven Cheap Things: A Guide to Capitalism, Nature, and the Future of the Planet

"In The Green New Deal and Beyond, Stan Cox presents a smart, sane, and plausibly optimistic alternative to abandoning all hope."--David Owen, author of Volume Control: Hearing in a Deafening World

"The teachings of Indigenous Peoples are still here, and it's up to the present generation to muster the courage and resources to follow those instructions. Stan Cox reminds us of this historic dialogue and development of the Green New Deal, and helps us find the path back to those instructions."--Winona LaDuke (Anishinaabe), author of All Our Relations: Native Struggles for Land and Life and LaDuke Chronicles

"Stan Cox suggests remedies that should ignite lively discussion and intense debate, which is sorely needed. A must-read for those who care about our shared planetary future."--Mary Evelyn Tucker, Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, co-author, Journey of the Universe

"An invaluable contribution to what must become an unprecedented international revolution."--Will Potter, author of Green Is the New Red: An Insider's Account of a Social Movement Under Siege

"Cox argues that this is not idealism, but necessity. By 2030 or 2040, if our aims and policies turn out to have been insufficient, as he points out, it will have been too late."--Natalie Suzelis, Uneven Earth

"In this important and readable book, Stan Cox moves the Overton window away from false hope and toward a more realistic path for avoiding climate catastrophe."--Dr. Peter Kalmus, NASA climate scientist and author of Being the Change

Comfortable dress shoe.
Size: 7, Color: Brown Napa Leather
Finally a comfortable dress shoe. It's both comfortable to walk in and looks and wears like a more traditional dress shoes for the office.

Tropical Fringe Fun for My Summer Outfits
Color: Natural, Color: Natural
I am absolutely obsessed with this straw purse because it feels like a vacation in my hand. The first thing I noticed is how the raffia fringe has this playful half moon shape that looks like a little lion mane but in a very high fashion way. My daughter even joked that it looks like a giant fancy taco which makes it such a fun and unique piece to carry around. It is incredibly lightweight which is a huge relief because I do not want to carry a heavy bag when the weather is hot. Even though it looks compact on my mannequin, it is surprisingly roomy inside and fits my phone and all my daily essentials without feeling stuffed. The magnetic closure is quite strong so I do not have to worry about my things falling out while I am walking around a summer party or a night out. The neutral tan and cream colors in the fringe make it very easy to match with almost any outfit I own. I really appreciate the small metal brand patch on the front because it gives the bag a more polished and expensive look than a typical straw tote you might find at a souvenir shop. One thing to keep in mind is that the raffia is very textured so you should probably be careful with delicate silk fabrics so it does not snag. It feels very sturdy and well made for something that is woven from grass and I love how the fringe adds so much movement when I am moving around. This bag is definitely going to be my go to accessory for the rest of the season because it is both stylish and very practical for my needs.

👜 Effortless Spring-to-Summer Clutch That Feels One-of-a-Kind
Color: Natural
👜 Effortless Spring-to-Summer Clutch That Feels One-of-a-Kind I’ve been a longtime fan of Sam Edelman, especially because they actually make stylish pieces that work for real life. So when I saw this clutch, I had a feeling it would be good… but I didn’t expect it to hit *this* level. This bag is a vibe. The raffia texture and that half-moon fringe give it such a unique, standout look without trying too hard. It feels like the perfect piece to roll right into spring and carry straight through summer. Think beach days, dinners out, travel nights, all of it. What I love most is that it doesn’t look like everything else out there. It feels original, like you found something special instead of just grabbing another basic clutch. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and the magnetic closure keeps things simple and secure. It also pairs effortlessly with different outfits. You can dress it up or keep it casual and it still works. Now let’s be real, it’s a designer piece, so it’s not cheap. But for the style, quality, and uniqueness, I do think it delivers strong value for money. Five stars from me. This one’s coming with me everywhere this season ☀️

Super cute clutch!
Color: Natural
This is a beautiful clutch. I got the “Natural” color, and the tones are definitely subtle. I am already eyeing the Spicy one too, but for me, the natural color is just easier to match with outfits. I did laugh though because my nephew said it looks like a taco, but honestly that just makes me love it even more! The material is extremely nice, it feels very premium and well made. I was a bit nervous because I have had cheaper bags with that shredded-style material that flakes and falls apart, but that is not the case here. It feels really well made. I cannot speak for long-term durability yet, but so far there is no shedding or anything like that. I also did not notice any loose stitching or threads at all, it just feels like a high-quality bag. It has small magnets to keep it closed, which work nicely. There is not a ton of space since it is a clutch, but there is still enough room for my phone and a few small items, so it works well. Overall, it is just a really gorgeous, well made bag, and I really do not have anything to complain about.

Lily Clutch - awkward size and fabric.
Color: Spicy, Color: Spicy
The Sam Edelman Lily Clutch handbag is a bit awkward, in my opinion. I've been told that it looks like a taco and like a folded up rug, and it does look rather awkward. It's also much larger and bulkier than I was expecting. I can't even find a comfortable or natural way to hold it. I don't love how it bulges out on the sides or the way it's difficult to grip because of the fabric design. It's eye catching and a good conversation piece, but it feels impractical. It's more of a statement piece than a useful every day bag or something I'd want to take on a long outing. It looks interesting, but it isn't a bag that makes my life easier or more compact.
